- The predecessor to Alamo Title Company, Alamo Abstract and Title Company was formed in 1922 in San Antonio, Texas by a group of prominent San Antonio businessmen.
- Our plant has records dating back to 1850. The plant covers Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe and Kendall Counties.
- In 1998, Alamo Title Company merged with Fidelity National Financial (NYSE symbol FNF) and in 2008, Fidelity National Financial acquired Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. This places Alamo Title in the Fidelity National Title Insurance Group, the largest title insurance group in the United States. Through our vast network of agents, we are able to obtain title information in virtually every state in the nation. With Texas based underwriting attorneys, Alamo Title is capable of closing and issuing title policies in our offices for real property in Texas using Alamo Title Insurance, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation, and Ticor Title Insurance Company.
- 1031 exchange services are available through Investment Property Exchange Services, Inc. ("IPX1031®"). To ensure the security of the client’s exchange funds IPX1031® provides a written third party corporate performance guarantee, a $100 million fidelity bond and $30 million in errors and omissions professional liability insurance. IPX1031® has handled over 30,000 exchanges in a calendar year.
- International title insurance is available through FNF Title International. Policies are issued throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
Tom is a native of San Antonio and attended The University of Texas at Austin where he received his business degree with a double major in (i) General Business/Real Estate Concentration and (ii) Petroleum Land Management. He became a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker in 1979, and over the next ten years managed the land departments of two independent oil companies located in San Antonio, handling both oil & gas and real estate transactions. In 1990, Tom joined Perron & Company as an associate broker, handling all types of commercial and ranch transactions.
From 1993 to 2001, he served as Senior Vice President responsible for originating and developing the San Antonio-South/Central Texas office for two regional finance companies,
and in 2001 founded his own financial consulting firm. Prior to joining Alamo Title in 2005, Tom was Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager with a regional banking institution.

Steve has over 30 years of professional experience in the financial industry. His extensive background in real estate finance and commercial
banking have supplemented his title and escrow experience to make him a highly respected and experienced commercial closer. Steve and his staff can handle any type of commercial real estate transaction involving title insurance and escrow services. Steve graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance, and has worked in the San Antonio marketplace since 1973.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio in 1972. He then attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and graduated in 1975 with a JD degree. Chris was admitted to practice
law in Ohio in 1975 and in Texas in 1976. From 1977 - 1980, he served as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Mahoning County, Ohio. He relocated to San Antonio in 1981 and joined Alamo Title. He left for a short time from July 1982 to March 1984 and was an Assistant
City Attorney for the City of San Antonio serving in the Real Estate Section, rejoining Alamo Title in March 1984. Chris is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the San Antonio Bar Association.
Jack received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Virginia Military Institute and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Mississippi. From 1973 to 1976, he served in the Judge Advocate General Corps and retired from the Mississippi Air National Guard in 1993. Jack practiced law in Gulfport, Mississippi from 1976 to 1989, in addition to serving as City Prosecutor and City Attorney for Long Beach, Mississippi. In 1989, Jack relocated to Houston, Texas to accept a position at the corporate headquarters of Stewart Title and in 1994 transferred to San Antonio. In 1996, he joined Lawyers Title as a Commercial Escrow Officer and served in that capacity until Lawyers Title of San Antonio was merged with Alamo Title in 2009. Jack has an extensive background in commercial real estate closings throughout Texas and in many states across the U.S.
